I live in the southern califorina area, beaches that are next to me are, santa monica,newport, seal beach, huntington beach, malibu, all in all, i dont mind going to any of these. or any beach near these. So I want to know where I should go just to rent one for the weekend, or one night. of the weekend…. any ideas?

I am looking to rent an oceanfront or direct oceanview beach house in either Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach or any of the surrounding areas. We would like to bring our two dogs and will be going the week of October 18th. If anyone has any info or can help me out I would greatly appreciate it!

I feel like since I have no loans and all of my friends do that I could really use this time to take advantage of something. Real estate is down and I could look into getting it cheap. My wife and I would live there for a couple years to get ahead and then hope to rent it out after. It would be in a location that would be suitable for a retirement place for us but could also enjoy throughout our lives. Would this be a good investment to look into? Or is it too risky this early in our lives. I feel as though making money off of one condo would lead to another and so on but I may be getting way ahead of myself. Any suggestions? I feel like making the first step is the hardest.

I know the current market is crazy, but is $2000/mo. for a 3 bedroom, rent to own, no credit check, no money down likely to be BS? I want to be in a loft within 2 miles of the beach in LA.
