We are VERY disappointed with our agent’s “work”..
We asked her to put up the pictures of the beach we gave her, and she agreed to, but it’s been over a month and still no pictures… We keep getting dumb excuses like: ” It takes time to post the pictures” and ” We are working on it.” ARGH!

Hi, I need sound advice from those of you who know Raliegh/Durham, Charlotte and Tampa. My wife and I have been relatively successful here in Atlanta as professionals. We are not rich, but we make a good living. I’m in corporate sales, she is a real estate agent. As you all probably know Atlanta is the new Los Angeles of the south, ie 24 hour traffic, massive amounts of illegal immigrants, thousands of Katrina refugees and unspeakable crimes. We’ve decided that we are going to relocate but need your input.
We hear that Charlotte is like Atlanta circa 1990 w/ lots to do and a thriving construction boom;
We hear that Raliegh/Durham is quaint, affordable w/ tech jobs there;
We hear that Tampa is very picturesqe w/ beaches but the Florida economy is driving people out in droves.
Please give me your feedback to dispel or confirm these myths. This will be a great help in our final decision! Thanks!

I recently purchased a condo in Miami (Kendall, no where near the beach). When first looking at the apartment I asked about hurricane shutters and received strange looks from the owner, the real estate agent and the association representative. All told me that the association allowed them, but that I had no need for any since I had a balcony (12 ft long by 4 ft deep) and was on the second floor (building is four stories tall).
This doesn’t make any sense to me. What do balconies and being on the second floor have to do with things hitting my sliding glass doors or windows? I thought the wind got worse the higher up you went.
Do I need hurricane shutters or not? If not, could you explain why?
Thanks!
